Insight Global is seeking a Pilot Plant Mechanic to support the Research Pilot Plant operations for one of our large Food & Beverage Manufacturing clients in Bridgewater, NJ. This facility serves as the innovation hub, enabling small-scale production trials and process validation before full-scale manufacturing. The mechanic will play a key role in maintaining and troubleshooting packaging, processing, and batching equipment within a GMP-regulated environment. They'll be expected to perform both preventative and reactive maintenance on all packaging and processing machinery.
Day to Day: • Maintain and troubleshoot pilot plant equipment including valves, pumps, and fillers • Ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, and internal safety protocols • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to optimize process trials and equipment performance

Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in food & beverage, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or CPG industries • Proficiency in packaging, processing, and batching equipment-primarily mechanical, with some electrical exposure • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to perform preventive and reactive maintenance • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams) and technical manuals or schematics
Nice to Have Skills & Experience • Experience with aseptic manufacturing equipment • Familiarity with welding equipment and drill presses
