Senior Accountant
The Sr Accountant plays a crucial role in the company's financial operations, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of the full month-end close process. This position is responsible for preparing financial statements, conducting flux and variance analysis, managing inventory accounting, and supporting system integration initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute the full month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform detailed flux analysis to explain variances in financial results and trends.
- Manage inventory accounting, including adjustments, reserves, and reconciliation of inventory-related accounts.
- Support system integration efforts, including ERP transitions and automation of accounting workflows.
- Collaborate with internal teams (FP&A, Operations, IT) to ensure data integrity and process alignment.
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries.
- Develop and improve internal controls and accounting policies.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff as needed.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a large corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and system integration projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in intercompany and flux analysis.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
