Senior Accountant

AllWork is a leading freelancer management and payments platform. We specialize in efficiently managing and paying various types of freelancers for businesses, including hourly, consulting, contract, and project-based workers. Our platform supports the evolving Modern Workforce, with freelancers becoming as prevalent as permanent employees in many companies.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post month-end journal entries and variance reports.
• Compile monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for review by the Controller.
• Conduct monthly reviews and reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
• Update and maintain budgets and financial models in collaboration with the Controller.
• Provide guidance to payroll, bookkeeping, accounts receivable/payable, and other accounting functions.
• Assist the Controller and administrative staff with day-to-day financial reporting and inquiries.
• Collaborate with the payroll and billing departments to ensure accurate client billing and proper recording of entries in the ERP system.
• Manage fixed asset schedules, depreciation, and related entries.
• Record, reconcile, and monitor bank loan and factor activity.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a strong general ledger (G/L) background.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Excel).
• Knowledge of GAAP and experience in compliance-related activities.
• Familiarity with payroll systems such as Paychex or ADP is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $90,000 annually and includes eligibility for bonus and equity opportunities.
