Industrial Electrician

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to maintain and repair the electrical components of our presses during the 2nd shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret drawings and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
  • Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
  • Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
  • Maintain, repair, install, and test switch gears, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors.
  • Possess a full understanding of ladder/relay logic (Allen Bradley & Siemens PLCs).
  • Be familiar with DC drive and NEC Codes.
  • Edit and teach Fanuc and/or Comau robots.
  • Troubleshoot machinery, including robots and stamping presses using test equipment and schematics.
  • Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems and devices.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs and maintain records according to standards.

Essential Skills:

  • 7+ years in an industrial automotive maintenance facility.
  • 5+ years as a maintenance electrician troubleshooting electrical systems on machinery.
  • Basic understanding of stamping presses and hydraulic systems.
  • PLC troubleshooting (Allen Bradley & Siemens) - no programming, edits only.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical components such as 3-phase motors, relays, switches, sensors, and up to 480V wiring in panels.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with troubleshooting, homing, and using teach pendants on robots (Fanuc & Comau).
  • Journeyman card or completion of an apprentice program.
  • Must possess their own toolbox with basic tools, steel-toed boots, and safety glasses.

Work Environment:

The work environment is an older stamping and robotic weld facility equipped with 42 presses and robots. It is located in Centerline and operates on two shifts with a lean team. Employees are required to wear steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and sleeves while working.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Center Line, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $33.90 - $33.90/hr.
