Maintenance Mechanic

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will conduct routine and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns. You will develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to extend the lifespan of equipment and reduce the likelihood of unexpected failures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
• Diagnose mechanical, low voltage electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Perform necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
• Assist in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment.
• Ensure proper operation and safety compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Navigate, maintain, and improve Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) processes.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment-related issues.
• Conduct work in accordance with lean manufacturing principles.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical troubleshooting including pneumatics, gearboxes, pumps, and motors.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair bearings, gearboxes, cylinders, and electrical components.
• Familiarity with low voltage 24v systems.
• Experience with industrial maintenance and repair of chain-driven conveyors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with safety precautions in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Work in an automotive manufacturing environment where tools are provided. Participate in an annual fit test. The schedule includes 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 pm to 7:00 am, with a pattern of 3 days on, 4 days off, and then 4 days on, 4 days off. A night shift differential is available.

This is a Permanent position based out of Greenfield, Indiana.

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $60320.00/yr.
