Our Central Processing Center in Freedom, PA is expanding! Now hiring a Licensed Pharmacist for our new overnight shift.
As an Overnight Licensed Call Center Pharmacist, you will follow all state and federal regulations and support local pharmacy operations via off site support by completion of pharmacist tasks including but not limited to data verification of prescriptions.
This role will supervise a small team of Pharmacy Technicians focused on monitoring retail queues and sending qualified prescriptions to our Central Fill facility.
Job Description
Overnight schedule is Monday - Friday 11:00pm - 7:00am. Candidates must have the ability to train during the daytime shift 9:00am - 5:00pm for a few weeks prior to starting the overnight schedule.
Job Requirements
- Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
- Experience Desired: Previous retail and/or clinical pharmacist
- Certification or Licensing Required: Pharmacy – must have current Pennsylvania or Ohio pharmacist license, the other to be obtained after start. Second licensing fees reimbursed by company. Immunization certification/license as required by state.
- Lifting Requirement: Up to 25 pounds
- Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age
Job Responsibilities
- Operate as a pharmacist in a closed door facility to support retail stores in daily operations
- Follow all Company policies and procedures to maximize quality/outcomes
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy (data verification) and complete drug utilization review (DUR) of prescriptions
- Provide telephonic clinical pharmacy services (MTM) to patients in order to optimize patient outcomes including but not limited to Comprehensive Medication Reviews (CMR), Targeted Interventions (TIP), Adherence Monitoring Interventions, and Manufacturer Programs
- Maintain production metrics and operational goals
- Assist with closed-door pharmacy support programs such as bulk immunization billing, patient support telephone lines, medication recall notification/counseling and other initiatives that can be completed remotely in processing center to remove non customer-facing work from the retail pharmacies
- Assist technicians in interpretation of prescriptions and third party billing
- Attend and participate in quarterly Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) meetings
- Work with physicians and nurses to secure clarifications and new prescriptions. This includes scanning new orders/clarifications into the Rx system for processing
- Complete incoming/outgoing prescription transfers as needed
