About the Facility: Langley Air Force Base Langley Air Force Base is the home of the United States Air Force's 633d Air Base Wing, 1st Fighter Wing and the 480th Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing. It also hosts the Global Cyberspace Integration Center field operating agency, the 192D Fighter Wing of the Virginia Air National Guard and Headquarters Air Combat Command. The base is one of the oldest facilities of the Air Force, having been established on 30 December 1916, prior to America's entry to World War I by the Army Air Service, named for aviation pioneer Samuel Pierpont Langley.

Family Practice Physician - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)

The Family Practice Physician shall perform a full range of physician services in accordance with the privileges granted. Direct, perform or assist in the instruction of other healthcare professionals within the scope of the clinical privileges and responsibilities. Provide preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self-care skills through education and counseling. Order diagnostic tests as applicable as well as request consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinicians, or other health resources as indicated. Technically proficient in directing and teaching other medical staff, providing educational lectures, and participating in the provision of in-service training to clinic staff members. Will see 10-14 patients per day outpatient.

Family Practice Physician

- REQUIREMENTS

Must be a graduate of an accredited medical school with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.). Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Family Medicine or Primary Care. Must be board-certified or board eligible in Family Medicine. Must successfully complete an accredited internship and residency program. Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Must have current license to practice medicine in any state, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States of Columbia.
