Overview

Senior Data Analyst — Reston, VA. Long Term Contract. Must be able to come for PI planning once every 2 months.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of a Data Integration/Data Warehouse for the Delivery Team.
• Data Cleaning: identify erroneous data and determine appropriate resolution.
• Analyze and assess the quality and integrity of the data including Reference Data.
• Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
• Understand the meaning/business context of data; acquire data from internal or external sources and maintain mapping documents of files/databases.
• Document Source to Target Mapping (STTM) and mappings; perform data analysis and data modeling to create source-to-target mappings.
• Evaluate risk from statistical information to determine risk to operations or non-compliance.
• Perform gap analysis of data requirements versus current data sources; work with business analysts and source data experts to develop data requirements.
• Assess current data and assist in the resolution of data anomalies; interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports and feedback.
• Data profiling experience (preferably using Ab Initio DQE).
• Assist in data quality initiatives and ensure data integrity across platforms.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the Healthcare Industry.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Big Data/NoSQL platforms with experience delivering production projects at scale.
• 7+ years of demonstrated experience as Data Analyst.
• 7+ years of strong SQL and data modelling skills (3rd normal form and dimensional modelling).
• Demonstrated ability to perform complex queries, assess data quality, and develop data mappings.
• 7+ years of experience in developing Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) & Gap Analysis based on business requirements.
• 7+ years of experience with multiple data warehousing and analytics development projects.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, or related field. Alternatively, in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required.
• Experience in data analysis and data modeling to create source-to-target mappings.
• Experience with risk assessment from statistical information and data profiling.

Location

Reston, VA. Travel for PI planning every 2 months may be required.
