Our organization, mission and culture: The Division of Investments administers and services several loan programs under the Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development. These programs were primarily designed to promote economic development through direct state lending in industries and areas of the state that are not adequately serviced by the private sector.
The Investments team values a work-life balance, and the team is a small, welcoming community of loan officers, collection officers, loan closers, accountants, and technicians. You will be part of a team that promotes economic development and works closely with small businesses and commercial fishermen throughout the State of Alaska.

The working environment you can expect: As this is an on-site position, it is not available for telework. You will be working in our headquarters office located on the 9th floor of the State Office Building in beautiful downtown Juneau. You will enjoy a collaborative atmosphere in a fully resourced and modern office space, with splendid views of Mount Juneau. The 9th floor has a fully equipped and spacious break room, that you will have full access to, as well as easy access to various restaurants and coffee shops downtown. Our Investments team fosters a cooperative environment through staff empowerment, accountability, and professionalism. To be successful in this position, applicants must possess the following skill sets: Proven experience in accounting or finance. Strong communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
