The Business Analyst role enables strategic decision-making across BD’s Services organization. This individual develops robust headcount models and workforce projections, builds cases to support investment decisions, and provides analytical support for key programs and initiatives. The role shapes investment decisions and empowers leadership with actionable insights, requiring strong analytical skills, financial foresight, and collaboration with cross-functional teams across Services, Finance, HR, and Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain dynamic headcount models and workforce planning tools that support strategic resourcing decisions across field service, technical support, and training functions.
  • Design, build, and manage scalable headcount models and workforce planning tools to inform resourcing across field service, technical support, and training teams.
  • Create and present compelling cases for new initiatives, tools, capabilities, and organizational transformations.
  • Deliver analytical support for leadership through forecasting, scenario modeling, and financial analysis.
  • Translate complex business needs into data-driven insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers and continuous improvement leaders to evaluate return on investment, assess resourcing needs, and model the impact of service transformation initiatives.
  • Advance data governance and reporting standardization efforts across the Services team.
  • Support the preparation of executive-level reporting materials for operating reviews and strategic planning meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Engineering, Economics, or related field required. Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in a business analyst, financial analyst, or similar role, preferably within a healthcare or services operations environment.
  • Proven expertise in workforce planning, case development, and financial modeling.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Solid understanding of business operations and ability to link analytical insights to strategic priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex data for senior audiences.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while delivering high-quality analysis.

Preferable Skills and Attributes

  • Familiarity with service operations, post-market support, or customer care functions is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce
  • Meticulous, pragmatic, and highly organized with the ability to think strategically while performing tactically.
  • Great communicator who can organize, summarize, clarify and communicate ideas simply to engineering and non-technical audiences.

Work Arrangement

BD prioritizes on-site collaboration to foster creativity, innovation, and effective problem-solving in the fast-paced healthcare industry. For most roles, a minimum of 4 days in-office per week is required to maintain our culture of excellence. Remote or field-based positions will have different arrangements indicated in the job posting.

Location & Compensation

Salary Range Information: $87,500.00 - $144,400.00 USD Annual
