IT Support Specialist Job at Associated Environmental Systems in Chelmsford

Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our team. You\'ll be the first point of contact for our employees\' technical needs, providing essential help desk support while also getting hands-on experience with our core IT infrastructure. You\'ll work with a diverse team of engineers, developers, and manufacturing staff, using your critical thinking and problem-solving skills to implement new tools and processes that support our continued growth. We\'re looking for someone with a strong desire to learn and grow with the company.

Base pay range: $50,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Provide daily hardware and software support to end-users (Windows, macOS, ChromeOS)
• Manage incoming service desk requests via ITSM platform and ensure timely, accurate responses to users
• Transparent and clear communication of issues resolution via ITSM and documentation platforms
• Ensure proper on/off boarding of employees, enhancing the process as needed
• Manage IT assets and inventory, ensuring sufficient equipment is on-hand for new users and to support hardware lifecycle maintenance
• Monitor network & infrastructure performance via monitoring tools, raising and addressing issues proactively
• Contribute to IT projects including system migrations and policy implementations
• Work with external vendors to ensure effective service delivery

Core Competencies

• Must Have: 2+ years of experience in IT support and/or systems/network administration; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear documentation; Experience with Google Workspace administration (user/group management, security policy configuration); Knowledge of Windows 10/11; macOS and ChromeOS a plus; Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues across multiple platforms
• Nice to Have: Bachelor\'s degree in IT, CS, or related field (or equivalent experience); Experience in a command-line environment; Experience with ITSM and RMM systems (Jira, FreshService, NinjaOne, Kaseya); Microsoft server and Linux server management; Experience building computers; Experience with Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes; Ability to script in Bash and PowerShell
