Are you highly organized with a passion for keeping projects on track? As a
Procurement Expeditor , you’ll be at the heart of the supply chain—ensuring materials move efficiently from suppliers to project sites. Your attention to detail, communication skills, and logistics coordination will directly contribute to project success and operational excellence.
The Procurement Expeditor is responsible for monitoring the flow of materials, verifying shipments, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and coordinating with vendors, internal teams, and material yards. This role ensures materials are accurately aligned with project needs and delivered on time.
Qualifications
1+ years of expediting or procurement experience in the utility, energy, or construction sectors
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., J.D. Edwards, SAP, Coupa)
Demonstrated ability to:
Monitor material flow and verify shipments
Identify and resolve discrepancies in deliveries
Coordinate with vendors and collaborate across internal teams
Communicate effectively with material yard personnel
Bachelor’s degree (or actively pursuing) in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field — or equivalent relevant experience
Key Responsibilities:
Track and coordinate shipments to ensure timely, accurate delivery
Resolve issues with damaged, missing, or surplus materials
Assist with POs, invoice reconciliation, and vendor communications
Maintain document control and update records
Lead supplier calls and track action items
Manage and archive quality documentation
Communicate with Material Yard Leads to confirm availability
Support reporting and continuous improvement efforts
Ensure compliance with company policies
Take on special projects as needed
