Have you ever dreamed of working in a book store? Is talking about books with fellow book lovers something you enjoy? Volunteers are needed to be cashier volunteers for at Friends of Johnson County Library Book Sales in the
Book Nook . Shifts are available on Saturday (9:30AM-12:45PM or 12:30-4PM) and Sundays (9:30AM-12:30PM or 12:15-3:15PM). A counter volunteer will tally up the number of items being purchased in each price level. The cashier will use this information to enter the purchase into a point of sale software and accept money (cash or card) for the sale. Attention to detail is a must. Volunteers ages 15+ welcome. This opportunity does require training, a confidentiality agreement, and a commitment to one - 3 hour volunteer shift per month for a minimum of six months. Volunteers can select whichever shift works best for the schedule each month.
