Make-A-Wish
Pashto-language Bilingual Wish Granter - Oakland
Make-A-Wish, Oakland, California, United States, 94616
Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy.
Wish granter volunteers interview wish kids to determine their wishes, and then act as a liaison between the families and the Make-a-Wish staff to help make the wishes happen.
We are looking for people who are bilingual in English and Pashto, who can help interviewing wish families in Pashto (as well as in English). In addition to volunteering locally, there is a need for Pashto-speaking volunteers at Make-A-Wish chapters across the country. You could help by conducting virtual wish interviews on Zoom or similar platforms.
