Manager of R&D Tax Credits and Incentives Advisory . The Tax Credits & Incentives Advisory (TCIA) Practice consists of a diverse group of CPAs and tax law experts dedicated to providing exceptional tax planning services. We pride ourselves on our deep understanding and expertise in tax credits and accounting methods, helping clients discover and capitalize on valuable opportunities. As a Manager, your role will involve shaping the vision and strategies to expand Cherry Bekaert's TCIA Practice, managing internal resources, and leading IRC Section 41 Research credit engagements. The ideal candidate will possess the following: Expertise in identifying Qualified Research Expenses across various industries. Proficiency in calculating the IRC Section 41 Research Credit. A solid understanding of Controlled Group rules in research credit calculations. The ability to communicate effectively with tax managers and VPs regarding research credit regulations. Experience in discussing technical uncertainties with company personnel related to their research endeavors. Leadership skills to collaborate with both local and national TCIA team members. Experience in documenting technical uncertainties and experimentation processes related to new or improved products, processes, or software designs. The capability to delegate tasks effectively while also engaging hands-on in projects. A commitment to mentor and support Staff and Senior Associates. Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with TCIA group members as we continue to develop practices in: Accounting Methods Cost Segregation Energy Credits Energy Efficiency Deductions State Credits and Incentives What you bring to the role: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, engineering, technology, or a related field. An advanced degree or certification such as CPA, MST, MAcc, LLM, or JD. At least 5 years of experience in federal tax compliance or tax consulting services. Proficient in Excel, particularly with Pivot tables and VLOOKUPs. A desire to take part in strategic planning initiatives. Strong organizational and project management skills. Preference for candidates with experience in accounting methods, including uniform capitalization rules, tangible property regulations, capitalization and depreciation, unit of property reviews, cost segregation studies, revenue recognition, and preparing or reviewing Form 3115. Cherry Bekaert values our employees and offers competitive compensation packages based on performance, reflecting the contributions our team makes to clients and the Firm. Salary for this position ranges from $105,000 to $163,400, determined by various factors including role responsibility, experience, and location.
