Role : Vice President of Finance & Operations
Location : Washington DC on site 5 days a week
Core hours : 10am–4pm (with flexibility on either end). 3pm dismissal on Fridays
Base salary : 175K–200K (open, commensurate with experience) + stock options + bonus based on capital raise
Benefits : PTO 33 days annually, Medical, dental, vision, basic life & AD&D, or monthly opt-out stipend, 401(k) with employer match
Requirements : Must have 10+ years of strategic finance leadership, investor relations, cap management and fundraising

A mission-driven, privately funded technology company based in Washington, DC is seeking a candidate with a strong foundation and ~$100M in private funding, preparing for its first growth round in 2026.
This role is a rare opportunity to help lead financial strategy, operational infrastructure, and organizational growth at a company that sits at the intersection of technology, data, and social impact.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree required; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
Proven track record
in capital strategy, investor relations, fundraising financial reporting.
10+ years of senior-level finance & operations leadership in high-growth environments
Experience in technology, SaaS, or investment banking strongly preferred.
Expertise in forecasting, operational execution, and scaling infrastructure.
Position Overview
responsible for putting the company in the strongest financial and operational position possible. The role will lead capital strategy and investor relations, oversee financial infrastructure, manage key business operations, and develop internal talent.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Financial Leadership
Drive capital strategy, including investor relations, cap table management, and fundraising planning.
Partner with the CEO to prepare for a 2026 growth round.
Deliver clear financial reporting and lead board communication.
2. Financial Operations
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, compliance, audits, and tax.
Lead internal finance staff and manage outside audit/tax partners.
Implement scalable systems and ensure audit-ready books.
3. Business Operations & Infrastructure
Lead revenue operations, contracts, subscriptions, invoicing, and employee experience.
Partner with operations leadership to design and track company-wide metrics.
Support cross-functional systems and professional development programs.
Hire, mentor, and grow a high-performing, diverse finance & operations team.
Build clear career development paths for junior team members.
Model operational excellence and accountability.
