Description In this role, you’ll be responsible for shipping exciting Wireless features powered by Data & Machine Learning. Your work will encompass the entire ML lifecycle, from secure and efficient data collection to model training and deployment on devices, utilizing state-of-the-art Apple AI/ML frameworks.
Responsibilities
Design and deploy Machine Learning models for optimized wireless experience on Apple products leveraging tools like CoreML, CreateML, and PyTorch
Develop on-device and crowd-sourced learning frameworks to improve wireless product experience
Use product experimentation and A/B testing frameworks to validate machine learning model deployments
Design and develop Analytics module running on-device to aggregate and correlate features across the wireless software stack
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally working on Applied Machine Learning
Strong object-oriented programming experience in C++, Objective C, or Swift
Strong understanding of Machine Learning Fundamentals
Understanding of and passion for data/AI-powered software features and product quality
Experience prototyping and shipping customer-facing features on embedded systems
Experience with scalable and cross-layer system design
Preferred Qualifications
8+ years of professional software engineering experience
Experience delivering ML-powered software features & applications
Some professional background in wireless technologies such as cellular, WiFi, and location
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
