The Role We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to lead the organization’s financial planning, forecasting, and analytics functions. This role shapes financial strategy, supports operational leaders, and enables data-driven decisions across the enterprise.

You’ll work closely with the Executive Team and Private Equity Sponsors to deliver financial reporting, lead annual planning and quarterly forecasting, and support growth initiatives—including M&A. As a leader, you’ll guide and mentor a high-performing FP&A team.

Lead the FP&A function: oversee annual operating budgets, long-range planning, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis; ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Strategic business partnership: act as trusted advisor to CEO, CFO, and senior leadership; provide financial insights to support strategic initiatives, operational planning, and investments.

Team leadership and development: manage, mentor, and grow the FP&A team; foster high performance through coaching and career development.

Mergers & acquisitions: support financial aspects of M&A, including due diligence, modeling, integration planning, and post-deal analysis.

Advanced financial modeling and scenario analysis: build and refine dynamic models to evaluate operational efficiency, profitability, and risk.

Forecasting and cost control: lead quarterly forecasting; identify cost-saving opportunities to meet or exceed targets.

Data-driven decision making: champion data analytics; leverage tools like Power BI for actionable insights.

Financial systems management: oversee implementation, optimization, and governance of FP&A systems (e.g., Prophix); ensure data integrity and automation.

Cross-functional collaboration: work with Accounting, Operations, IT, HR, and other departments to integrate financial planning with company initiatives.

Continuous process improvement: improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, efficiency, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree (MBA or related) strongly preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 5+ years in progressively responsible FP&A roles, with at least 2+ years in a leadership capacity. Proven experience presenting financial strategy and results to senior executives, boards, or investors. Healthcare industry or private equity-backed company experience is highly preferred.

Technical Expertise:

Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling and scenario analysis); strong PowerPoint skills; proficiency with Office 365. Experience with enterprise planning tools (e.g., Prophix, Adaptive Insights) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI) preferred.

Business Acumen & Strategy:

Strong understanding of financial statements, KPIs, and business drivers; ability to connect financial planning with broader objectives; track record of driving profitability and operational efficiency.
