The Collins Aerospace Mission Systems (MIS), Protected Communications Solutions (PCS) organization is looking for an Associate Director, Program Chief Engineer. The Program Chief Engineer will lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers (including systems, mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines) developing complex engineering solutions. This role is onsite at Marlborough, MA, with DoD Secret clearance requirements as described below.

What You Will Do

Responsible and accountable for technical, cost, and schedule performance, and the effective acquisition/utilization of engineering resources on a large scale, complex development program

Responsible and accountable for ensuring alignment with organizational, business, program, and strategic objectives

Employ and lead scope management, risk and opportunity management, change management, Technical Sub-Contract Management and configuration management

Collaborate with Program Management and Functional Leader to ensure optimal program level performance

Develop and validate/justify Estimates to Complete, Estimates at Completion, Engineering Proposal Bid Reviews, and Engineering Program Reviews. Participate as Engineering representative in Program Management Reviews

Drive development of new talent, collaboration and innovation through mentoring team/organization members

Drive data driven decision-making across the program through the effective application and management of metrics and appropriate action plans

Qualifications You Must Have

Experience in a previous senior engineering leadership role, leading and managing complex multi-discipline teams

Experience in system architecture and system integration management

Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and physical locations

Experience with Agile and/or DevSecOps development methodologies

Demonstrated communication and presentation skills with all levels of management, program team members, and external stakeholders

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience

Active and transferable SECRET clearance is required prior to start date

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

Demonstrated ability to lead a team through complete program/product lifecycle

Experience with AEHF and PTW satellite communication systems, computer networking and system security for ground based, ship, submarine, or airborne platforms

Program management certification

Employee Referral Eligible

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
