Kite Pharma . Our Frederick, Maryland manufacturing facility is seeking a highly motivated individual focused on industrial electrical systems. Job Responsibilities
Demonstrate a senior level understanding of medium and low voltage electrical systems and hardware. Serve as the subject matter expert for elements of building electrical systems, equipment, lighting, security, and fire protection as determined by the lead electrical engineer. Work under the guidance of the manager and lead electrical engineer. Support troubleshooting and resolution of complex problems through ingenuity and an innovative mindset. Support the design, planning, and execution of facilities, equipment, and utility system projects including conceptual design, detailed design, construction, and commissioning. Define project scopes, prepare requests for proposals, cost estimates, and business cases for justification of capital projects. Serve as a project manager for small projects in accordance with capital project governance. Self-motivated with minimal supervision; manage time effectively and demonstrate expert knowledge of job-specific applications. Assemble and present proposed solutions to complex problems to management (slide decks, visual metrics, etc.). Support facilities and engineering management through development and presentation of metrics and project updates. Provide accurate budget estimates for Opex and Capex to the respective budget holders. Organize and lead meetings, prepare agendas, and distribute minutes and action items. Represent site engineering across the Kite network. Facilitate management of contractors performing equipment, utility system, and facility work during project implementation. Coordinate with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to provide a safe work environment during project implementation; draft/review job hazard assessments and develop LOTO plans for equipment/outages. Ensure compliance with EPA and other regulatory bodies; support Kite energy and sustainability initiatives. Ensure electrical systems operate safely and in compliance with applicable laws and codes. Review and approve project drawings, specifications, submittals, and turnover packages; address RFIs during design and implementation. Write and review documentation including standard operating procedures and facility/engineering drawings. Demonstrate knowledge of GxP operations and regulatory compliance; lead discussions with Quality on facility/equipment/utility system compliance. Serve as SME and address audit requests, including interfacing with auditors during regulatory inspections. Assemble documentation for equipment and system inductions into the Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS); develop preventive maintenance and calibration plans. Identify spare parts requirements and source proposals to facilitate procurement. Perform investigations, root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and manage quality record workflows. Perform risk assessments, system impact assessments, and FMEAs. Basic Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience, or Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. 6+ years of experience with medium and low voltage electrical systems in an industrial setting. Eligible for professional engineering licensure. Strong understanding of NFPA 70, 70E, and 70B and electrical code compliance. Knowledge of GMP manufacturing of pharmaceutical products. Ability to perform analyses and communicate information to guide resolutions. Strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration abilities. Excellent presentation skills for diverse audiences. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CAD tools (BIM, Revit, AutoCAD is a plus). Smartsheet proficiency is a plus.
