We are looking for you to join our team as a
Second Shift Principal Manufacturing Engineer
based in
Sunnyvale, CA . The Principal Manufacturing Engineer will support the manufacturing and testing of marine launcher systems, working on various manufacturing processes for high-value assemblies, machined components, formed components, and welded fabrications. These processes include precision manual assembly, welding, machining, bonding, finishing and mechanical assembly. What You’ll Get to Do
Develop new processes, improve existing manufacturing processes, and develop the required tooling and fixtures with an excellent team of experienced assembly mechanics, machinists, welders and engineers. Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability and develop best practices within the manufacturing environment. Develop efficient process flows and sequences of operations, optimize production area layouts, manage bills of materials, create detailed work instructions, process procedures and tooling requirements with emphasis on safety, foreign object elimination and equipment/system maintenance. Support continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of new capital equipment for establishing expanded production processes. Select roles will also support final acceptance testing of product and provide technical support to test facility operation as necessary. The ability to support multiple production shifts is required (first, second, third shifts, and weekends) based on the assignment and current and future production schedules. Basic Qualifications for Principal Manufacturing Engineer
Bachelor’s in a related STEM discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; Master’s Degree in a related STEM discipline with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings. Experience in one or more of the following areas: mechanical assembly processes, welding and machining. Experience in continuous improvement. Experience in technical writing. Ability to work Second Shift. Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. US Citizenship required. Qualifications for Principal Manufacturing Engineer
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering. Compensation and Benefits
Primary Level Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00 The salary range represents a general guideline; actual offers consider scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward contributions and company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
