Deputy Asset and Portfolio Manager - Real Estate | DWS Group Location: San Francisco, CA Position details
The San Francisco corporate office has an immediate opening for a Deputy Portfolio and Asset Management position in our recently merged Portfolio Management and Asset Management groups. This Assistant Vice President position requires an eager, self-motivated team player with a strong analytical skill set. Primary duties include providing quantitative and qualitative support for Central Portfolio Managers and Asset Managers across the Western Region. The opportunity offers broad exposure to 25-35 properties across office, industrial, multi-family and retail sectors, usually with a core risk profile, but some properties may be core+, value-add, opportunistic, or development. Responsibilities
Compile underwriting in Argus and Excel to assist with multi-year planning, hold-sell decisions, financings, leasing, and value-add strategies Prepare Investment Committee presentations for financings, leasing, and dispositions Analyze leasing opportunities and sensitivities via ARGUS, NPV analyses, and market research Assist with annual property business plans and review of quarterly reporting Lead external appraisal process and complete internal valuations, working across multiple in-house departments including transactions and research Understand and interpret attribution analysis, identifying areas of out(under)performance Support the transition of newly acquired properties from the Transactions group to the Portfolio/Asset Management group Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree Previous relevant experience preferred in asset management and valuation Highly organized, able to multi-task and communicate effectively Ability to work as part of a team and independently Strong work ethic and critical thinking skills What we’ll offer
