Driving Omnichannel Sales : Achieve sales targets on the Instacart platform and expand to other platforms (e.g., Door Dash, Uber Eats) for Hormel Foods Retail Sales portfolio by developing and implementing customer ecommerce sales strategies that leverage marketing, brand, and trade expertise. Lead with omnichannel insights to build shopper-centric programs within established budgets. Implement and execute digital marketing plans for assigned brands at the customer. Collaborate cross-functionally with broker partners and internal sales strategy and marketing teams to drive incremental sales and increase consumer loyalty for the assigned brands. Research emerging platforms and provide recommendations on investment levels by brand. General Manager of Business : Manage all aspects of the Instacart business for assigned brands, including working with the customer, customer business manager, and the sales strategy team to establish quarterly, six-month, and annual objectives that meet/exceed corporate category volume, brand volume, market share, promotion spending, logistical efficiencies, and profit objectives. Identify opportunities to grow the business in line with internal expectations. Administration of Instacart and other platforms: PO management and invoice reconciliation. Communication : Negotiate cost offers to determine appropriate investment levels, retail price points, and promotional plans to deliver topline results for the assigned portfolio. Engage with mid-level management of the customer’s organization to implement sales and marketing initiatives and maximize customer development. Growth and Development : Participate in learning and developmental workshops and regional/national meetings to improve selling techniques and knowledge of customer and company practices. Building Relationships : Develop and maintain strong relationships with the customer, sales strategy team, brand marketing teams, and Omni Commerce team peers. Qualifications
Required A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Minimum 3 years' experience in a sales, marketing, or a sales strategy role. Experience managing budgets. Experience managing external agency/vendor partners. Experience creating a marketing plan to reach a desired shopper group. Strong leadership, prioritization, delegation, and decision-making skills focused on delivering sales results. Strong negotiation, persuasion, and influence skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to cultivate positive relationships and communicate clearly and diplomatically. Initiative, self-directed, independent worker with strategic risk-taking experience. Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States. Applicants must not require sponsorship for an employment visa now or in the future. Preferred 4 years in a sales, marketing, or sales strategy role. eCommerce sales experience, specifically through the Instacart platform. Understanding of retailer marketing landscape and digital concepts. Strong analytical and technical aptitude. Location : Flexible location in Austin, MN; Bedminster, NJ with a preferred location of Chicago, IL.
