Overview
An enterprise IT client is looking to hire a UX Writer / Content Strategist to support a large application development project that brings together several teams and organizations. In this role, you will write content for digital platforms, including explanations and instructions for various devices. You will be responsible for all writing to ensure content is clear, concise, and aligns with the intended tone. While you will do hands-on writing, you will also collaborate with other teams to guide and improve their content and content strategy, and you will create and maintain a consistent tone across materials. The ideal candidate will have experience creating written content for mobile and web applications that instruct consumer users. You will need to provide writing samples that demonstrate instructional content and calls to action.
Responsibilities
Author UX copy for digital touchpoints on desktop and mobile platforms; ensure clarity, conciseness, and the appropriate tone.
Collaborate with UX Designers, developers, and other teams to guide and improve content strategy and content design.
Contribute to layout considerations within applications, understanding constraints and delivery formats.
Maintain consistency of tone across all content and ensure content supports user tasks and workflows.
Work with JIRA as the primary documentation and ticketing tool to track content work and changes.
Provide writing samples that demonstrate instructional content and calls to action.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Technical Writing, English, Journalism, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in UX writing / producing user-facing copy for digital products and apps.
Experience collaborating with UX design, development, and marketing teams on content design and strategy.
Experience writing clear and concise instructional content such as product descriptions, onboarding, and step-by-step guides.
Experience adhering to brand tone and voice while delivering a delightful content experience for users.
Experience using JIRA for documentation and task tracking.
