R&D Scientist - Product Development at Henkel. This position is with the Consumer Brands business unit, supporting Laundry & Home Care and Hair products. The role can be filled in Stamford, CT or Trumbull, CT. What you’ll do
Actively seeks to understand and utilizes knowledge of chemical structure/function relationships pertaining to material performance delivered from a formulation matrix. Developing demos to support commercial executions. Collaborate with R&D cross-functional teams (e.g., packaging, process development, product testing, manufacturing) during development and commercialization of products. Obtain data to evaluate the composition and performance of competitive offerings. Ensure accurate data generation during laboratory testing and reporting according to SOPs or customer requirements. Prepare and deliver written and oral presentations to various levels of management. Complete raw material and formula submissions as part of the master data process. Conduct laboratory work and equipment maintenance in accordance with SOPs. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe laboratory and report deficiencies to the laboratory supervisor. What makes you a good fit
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or an equivalent science/engineering field. 0-5 years of relevant laboratory and industry experience. Strong communication skills. Ability to exercise good judgment to make timely, practical, and technically sound decisions. The salary for this role is $75,000.00–$82,000.00, with the understanding that compensation may be higher or lower based on the role and other factors. This range may be modified in the future.
