Trustpoint.One is pleased to be partnering with a national law firm's Boston office in their search for a Patent Agent with a minimum of two years' experience and a background in engineering and/or computer science. USPTO registration is preferred. Responsibilities
Prepare, draft and file patent applications. Perform research and analysis, and provide guidance on a variety of patent and IP-related issues. Conduct database searches for patentability and freedom to operate analyses. Analyze patent and scientific papers and documents to assist patent attorneys on patent prosecution, counseling, and litigation. Draft patent applications and responses to office actions; and advise lawyers on technology issues in preparation for depositions. Skills / Qualifications
At least two years of proven working experience as a patent agent, preparing and prosecuting patent applications. Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail. Extensive computer and database expertise. A background in mechanical, electrical, biomedical, computer science, or a related engineering field is preferred. This is a hybrid position and is required to work in the office in downtown Boston three days every week. All candidates must be able to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time.
