A mission-driven law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their Washington, D.C. office in a hybrid capacity. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive professional with strong litigation experience and an interest in progressive causes. The position supports attorneys across a variety of litigation matters and requires occasional overtime and travel for trials. Responsibilities
Bluebook, cite-check, and proofread legal briefs Draft, prepare, and file pleadings and discovery documents in federal and state courts Collect, organize, and produce documents for discovery Coordinate and serve subpoenas Maintain accurate electronic and paper litigation files Support case management and monitor deadlines, dockets, and calendars Communicate with attorneys, clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials Assist in trial exhibit preparation and courtroom logistics Prepare court submissions, including creating binders and formatting tables of contents Manage attorney court admissions and subscription access for legal tools Perform other litigation support tasks as assigned Qualifications
Bachelor's degree Minimum of 3 years of litigation paralegal experience at a law firm Proficiency in cite-checking and trial preparation Familiarity with federal and state court procedures Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information Willingness to work overtime and travel for multi-day trials
