Overview
Account Executive/Senior Account Executive - Fidelity and Crime role at Great American Insurance Group. The Fidelity/Crime Division provides fidelity/crime, kidnap & ransom and fine art policies throughout the U.S. and Canada for mercantile businesses, financial institutions, and governmental entities. Coverages include employee dishonesty, forgery, theft, computer fraud and kidnap, ransom and extortion coverage. These coverages are offered for diverse classes of business including specialized industries such as gaming, security guards, check cashers, armored car companies and program business. Our Midwest Regional Office is located in downtown Chicago. This is a salaried position (not commissioned sales). Responsibilities
Evaluates and underwrites new and renewal business in accordance with Company underwriting guidelines and risk appetite. Receives and analyzes submissions and determines terms to offer (policy limits, deductibles, coverage options and conditions, and premium) based on the applicant’s financial capacity, past performance, and risk factors. Develops and maintains effective business relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to attract and retain profitable business. Collaborates with agents, brokers, and clients to obtain necessary information and clarify details. Ensures proper documentation of underwriting decisions and compliance with state and federal insurance regulations. Communicates underwriting decisions clearly and effectively to internal teams and external brokers. Stays updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions. Interprets, explains, and markets products and services. Uses independent judgment and initiative to support business goals. Maintains a high level of customer service. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, Insurance, Economics, Communications or other Business related fields preferred. Minimum of 0-5 years of general underwriting and/or insurance business development experience, with some fidelity/crime experience preferred. High level of customer service and proven success in building and maintaining effective business relationships. Effective organizational skills, including the ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills in order to leverage excellent customer relationships, and to provide opportunities for marketing products and services. Must be open to day trips and overnight travel up to 30% of the time. Compensation
