Associate Research Director , you’ll be the point person for end-to-end research projects—from survey design to storytelling insights—working directly with high-profile clients and a global team. Base pay range: $90,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr What You’ll Do
Lead and manage connected and custom research projects across survey design, fieldwork, analysis, reporting, and client presentations Partner closely with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and high-quality insights Act as a trusted advisor to clients, building long-term relationships and driving repeat business Design reports and presentations that turn complex data into actionable, engaging stories Contribute to proposals, budgets, and research designs to support business growth Apply and learn advanced research methods (e.g., segmentation, conjoint, MaxDiff) in collaboration with data science teams Build and share expertise in technology, digital entertainment, and gaming/esports sectors to strengthen YouGov’s capabilities What You Need To Get An Interview
4+ years of experience running custom, primary market research projects (ideally on the supplier/vendor side) Hands-on knowledge of a wide range of quantitative research techniques (brand tracking, concept testing, segmentation, pricing, messaging, etc.) Proven ability to design complex surveys and synthesize findings into compelling, narrative-driven reports Client-facing experience with strong account management and relationship-building skills Background or strong interest in technology, gaming/esports, and digital entertainment Experience managing junior researchers or cross-functional project teams Strong proficiency with Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides, Word/Docs; familiarity with SPSS, R, or Tableau is a plus Excellent time management, multitasking, problem-solving, and communication skills Direct experience with advanced statistical approaches (segmentation, conjoint, MaxDiff, TURF, driver modeling, etc.) Personal passion for gaming/esports, digital media, and tech industry trends Exposure to both B2C and B2B tech clients (ITDMs, BDMs) Experience contributing to business development through proposals or client expansion Benefits
