Banner University Medical Group - Phoenix is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to assist with our Neurosurgery patients in our hospital. As a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, this position is involved in management of patients, performance of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, interpretation of diagnostic tests, prescription of medications, providing education, completing consultations, participating in research, assisting in the OR, attending inpatient rounds. This position requires working closely with our Neurosurgeons in a side-by-side approach to patient care. Responsibilities

Manage neurosurgery patients in collaboration with Neurosurgeons Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures Interpret diagnostic tests Prescribe medications Provide patient education Complete consultations Participate in research Assist in the operating room Attend inpatient rounds Work in a side-by-side approach with Neurosurgeons Qualifications

Board Certified Background in Neurosurgery and/or Neurology Current Arizona Medical License Critical Care training and experience Must have at least 3 years experience Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substances Structured schedule with shared call coverage About Banner Thunderbird Medical Center
