This is an exciting opportunity to take over an Insurance Fraud SIU and RICO litigation book of business within a $30 practice group. The practice group leader has been promoted to Director, and this role will transition the substantial book of business and eventually lead a 100+ person division. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement and can sit in Long Island, Philadelphia, or New Jersey. The cases involve insurance fraud matters such as accident staging, arson, medical provider collusion to defraud insurers, ransomware attacks, and other complex litigation. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of Insurance Fraud and RICO litigation experience and is interested in working on the defense side.

Base pay range $130,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

Investigate and litigate insurance fraud cases, including conducting in-depth research, interviewing witnesses, and collecting evidence.

Prepare and present cases in court, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, and arguing cases before judges and juries.

Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel, insurance companies, and other parties.

Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on insurance fraud matters.

Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff to ensure effective case management.

Stay up-to-date with changes in insurance law and related legal areas.

Develop and implement strategies to prevent insurance fraud.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Minimum of 7+ years of experience in insurance fraud and RICO litigation.

Licensed to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction.

Experience with RICO cases is required.

Proven track record of successfully litigating insurance fraud cases.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

High degree of professional ethics and integrity.

Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve complex disputes efficiently.

Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and work under pressure.

Proficiency in legal research tools and software.

Willingness to travel as required for case investigation and trial preparation.
