Role focus Our Sourcing & Procurement Strategy practice redefines the procurement function for clients across industries. We help COOs and Chief Procurement Officers navigate complex challenges to drive profitability, resiliency and sustainability from 3rd party relationships. We support procurement transformation through design and implementation of future cost strategies, operating models and digital/AI capabilities. The role embodies an AI-first perspective to stay competitive in uncertain environments. As Strategist, you advise and shape procurement strategies, transformation plans, operating models and capabilities development. We collaborate across technology, data & AI and Operations to accelerate deployment of strategic capabilities and tangible value. You have a strong passion for Procurement and a broad business/supply chain perspective to connect procurement strategy with enterprise goals. The work As strategic advisors, we work directly with business leaders to: Define procurement vision, transformation roadmaps and business cases Design and build next-generation operating models and capabilities Embed digital, data, and AI solutions at the core of procurement functions Accelerate value creation through cost & profitability programs across direct, Capex and indirect spend using levers like strategic sourcing, value engineering and business transformation Address priority enterprise-wide issues with Supply Chain & Procurement strategies that can be implemented quickly and at scale As a member of our Sourcing & Procurement Strategy practice you will: Manage small to medium-sized teams with diverse backgrounds and skills Mentor and coach others, collaborating with internal and external parties Support client sales origination, business development and external thought leadership Drive positive community impact through volunteerism initiatives Travel, as needed, up to 80% What you need
Minimum 7 years of experience in Sourcing & Procurement Transformation and cost optimization initiatives (Strategic Sourcing and Procurement) Minimum 7 years in a consulting firm or 10 years internal consulting or equivalent in non-consulting companies Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience Bonus points if
Deep specialization in procurement or third-party/vendor cost takeout initiatives; direct material optimization or operating model transformation Experience across End-to-End Supply Chain or Procurement transformation programs in a leading role Strong relationship-building, program oversight and team leadership MBA or equivalent graduate degree Functional understanding of digital/AI solutions in Supply Chain & Procurement (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa) Ability to use data analytics tools and visualization/analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics) Lean or Six Sigma qualifications Compensation and location Compensation varies by location, role, skill set and experience.
