Maintenance Service Manager - Urban Properties (1500+ units at 100+ properties throughout San Diego County) Who we are: At Sunrise, we practice resident hospitality, focusing on what matters most: Helping people feel right at home. About this role: The Maintenance Service Manager leads a team of 15 technicians and supervisors servicing 100 properties (and growing), ranging in size from 1 to 50 units totaling over 1500 residential apartment homes throughout San Diego County.

Supervisory accountability and motivation are key components. We are looking for a leader who will bring insight to developing efficient and effective business processes while emphasizing customer service. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the general maintenance of the properties we manage, expense control, and adherence to preventive maintenance as well as requisite state and federal safety programs. The successful candidate will be capable of exercising independent judgment, executing and developing solutions to problems, and diplomatically implementing decisions made by management.

Summary This is a leadership role. The successful candidate will have a strong service-orientation and will be responsible for meeting the company’s customer service and property maintenance obligations, due both to the company’s clients and to its residents. He or she will work closely with their team members and will be responsible for their work product. This requires close coordination with Urban Properties leadership, portfolio managers, leasing agents and on-site community managers.

This is a Full-Time, Salary position.

Hours to be Monday through Friday. *subject to change

Position requires availability for on-call after hours for maintenance emergencies.

Salary range:

$95,000.00 - $115,000.00 DOE

What you'll need:

5 Years Property Management Experience Required 500+ Units

5 Years Leadership and Supervisory Experience Required (5+ team members)

Experience in property management as a Service Technician or Service Manager

High School Diploma or equivalent

Relevant Experience leading a large team

Supervisory skills

Experience with AppFolio strongly preferred

Contractors License preferred
