Overview
United States, California, Mountain View. We are looking for a Principal Product Manager for Microsoft AI (MAI) to help build the next wave of capabilities for Copilot and related consumer AI products. This role focuses on balancing creativity, curiosity, and technical expertise to drive challenging projects to successful completion. You will collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and AI researchers to turn ambiguous projects into compelling user experiences. The team emphasizes speed, user focus, evidence-based decisions, and delivering real impact in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Drive building world-class AI applications that delight consumers across Copilot, Edge, Bing, Windows, and Mobile.
Own a product area and understand user needs and behaviours; define product requirements and manage end-to-end development, launches, and iterations.
Navigate roadblocks to ship work quickly and iteratively in a fast-paced, design-driven development cycle.
Translate business goals into strategy, user experience, and technical requirements in collaboration with UX designers and AI model training teams.
Define goals and performance indicators; set up and oversee experiments; measure success with data and research.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver exceptional consumer-grade applications.
Embody the company culture and values.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Product Manager with ability to balance creativity, curiosity, and technical expertise.
Strong collaboration skills with engineers, designers, product managers, and AI researchers.
Effective people management skills and ability to work across multiple teams.
Ability to translate business goals into actionable product strategy, requirements, and measurements.
Based in the United States, Mountain View, CA area, with in-office presence required 3 days a week.
