Job Description MediaAlpha is a customer acquisition solutions provider powered by technology and data science. Hybrid role: 2 days/week in office Role Overview We are looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our technology team. As a Senior Software Engineer at MediaAlpha, you will be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle. You will work directly with stakeholders to define our MediaAlpha Exchange Product, coordinate across teams to ensure solutions meet business needs, collaborate on architecture, drive system design, and establish software development best practices. Responsibilities Own the full software development lifecycle of high-performance ad-serving software. Integrate our products with partners. Lead and support the engineering team, resolving routine issues. Maintain and support our live MediaAlpha Exchange product. Develop Perl code in a Linux environment, utilizing Amazon EC2, S3, CloudFront, and Route 53. Requirements 5+ years of experience in software development. B.S. in a technical discipline such as computer science. Ability to write maintainable, scalable, efficient, and reliable code. Strong engineering skills, including methodologies and best practices. Champion quality and coding excellence within the team. Organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently. Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Experience collaborating with engineers and non-technical stakeholders. Excellent communication skills. Knowledge of SQL, Perl, shell scripting, and Linux is a plus. Compensation & Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of $142,000 to $212,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
