Halloween Costume Drive

Clean out your closets and contribute to holiday magic with our Halloween Drive! Why: By participating in this opportunity, you're not just providing costumes; you're creating memories, boosting self-esteem, and fostering a sense of belonging for children who have faced adversity. Your generosity will ensure that no child has to miss out on the enchantment of Halloween. Who: L.A. Family Housing (LAFH) works to help families transition out of homelessness and poverty through a continum of housing enriched with supportive services. Founded in 1983, LAFH served more than 2,500 people living in poverty this past year through its multiple housing and supportive service programs, and has served over 100,000 people since its inception. In total LAFH owns and operates 21 properties, including three homeless shelters and 18 permanent rental properties. What to Expect: It's that time when children's faces light up with anticipation, dreaming of the perfect costume for the year's spookiest night. However, for families transitioning away from homelessness, providing costumes for their little ones can be a daunting challenge. Please support our abilities to provide an excellent Halloween by donating costumes! Clean out your closets and contribute to the magic! What's Required: Accepting new or gently used Halloween costumes suitable for children of all ages. Whether it's a superhero, a princess, a ghost, or a pirate - every costume can make a child's Halloween dreams come true. Costumes must be in working order and free from major tears, stains, or damage. Must be able to deliver costumes to our LAFH office during selected hours of operation. We will not be able to pick up donations. Before you drop off costumes, please email the Opportunity Coordinator to confirm the date and time of your drop-off and the quantity of costumes being delivered.
