Homeschool on a Farm with Chagrin Valley Learning Collective Co-Op

Basic volunteer duties involved with this assignment: Assist Youth members ages 5-18 with academic studies as requested. Might include reading, writing, science, music, etc. Teach fiber arts including sewing and stitching, knitting and crocheting, weaving, patchwork, etc. Organize books into a library for youth and family members based on subjects, interests, educational purposes. Research and write grants to secure outside funding for the organization. Basic volunteer qualifications involved with this assignment: Understanding of the subject matter, patience and understanding of youth member needs. Who will be served by this assignment? Youth ages 5-18 and staff. What is the anticipated benefit of this volunteer service to those receiving the service? Learn a new skill, organization of program materials and supplies, and human engagement and socialization. What specific skills will the volunteer need? Organization of materials, communication skills, grant-writing, knowledge of specific academic areas of study such as reading, writing, science, music, math, etc.
