Position Summary:
The QC Inspection Lead will coordinate dimensional inspection of small machined plastic and metal components for the QC department. Will use GDT knowledge to interrupt blueprints. Coordinates FAI activities to ensure proper procedures are followed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following, as well as other duties may be assigned.
Coordinate and assign inspection duties (FA, In-Process and Final) to department personnel
Close tolerance dimensional Inspection of small machined plastic & metal components
Ability to follow written instructions and to complete relative inspection paperwork
Corrective Actions – assign, investigate and respond to opportunities for improvement
Analyze non-conforming parts in order to identify root causes problem resolution
Implement & manage calibration activities through formal programs
Documentation – Complete both internal and customer related documentation as required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency with inspection tools including CMM and Optical comparator
Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management Systems
Proficiency in conducting internal audits
Education and Experience:
Experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control
Ability to read and interpret prints drawings in addition to customer expectations
Experience in manufacturing and inspection
