Senior Development Project Manager

to spearhead exciting ground-up developments and tenant improvement initiatives, ensuring excellence across our expansive portfolio. This is a unique chance to play a pivotal role in impactful, large-scale projects while collaborating with premier tenants, contractors, and consultants. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage comprehensive project budgets and schedules, delivering regular progress reports to regional leadership. Ensure successful project deliveries that align with approved budgets, timelines, and the company’s high standards. Forge and maintain strong partnerships with local jurisdictions to adeptly manage entitlements and permitting processes. Oversee the implementation of tenant and company obligations as stipulated in lease and work letter agreements. Act as the primary liaison for tenants throughout the construction process, fostering collaboration and communication. Lead and coordinate efforts with contractors, architects, consultants, and internal teams to drive successful project outcomes. Manage outsourced development and construction management consultants as necessary. Ensure timely project close-out processes to enable tenant occupancy and commencement of rent. Review and process payment applications and invoices from contractors and consultants efficiently. Maintain meticulous project documentation, monitor tenant improvement budgets, and support precise reporting. Collaborate cross-functionally with leasing, operations, and other internal stakeholders to achieve overall project success. Assist the leasing team during negotiations by providing relevant project-related insights. Prepare and deliver comprehensive status updates and performance reports on all projects. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. A minimum of 10 years of experience in development, construction, or real estate with a robust background in project and construction management. Prior experience with ground-up developments and laboratory/research projects is strongly preferred. Proficient in construction contract preparation, AIA documents, lien waivers, payment applications, and insurance requirements. Familiarity with tenant lease and work letter agreements is essential. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with tenants, contractors, and internal teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project), with advanced capabilities in spreadsheets.
