About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President for Department of the Interior (DOI) Business Development. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of business development professionals to identify, evaluate, and secure new business opportunities within the DOI. This role requires a strategic focus on fostering and maintaining strong relationships with potential customers, partners, and key stakeholders. The Vice President will work closely with regional and business line leaders, as well as executive leadership, to design and execute growth strategies that align with the organization's strategic goals. Key responsibilities include developing and executing a DOI business development strategy, managing business development activities, identifying new business opportunities, and building successful business relationships. The role also involves coordinating company resources, developing capture plans, and managing proposal activities to win new DOI contracts.

Applicants must have a BA/BS plus at least 12 years of relevant business development experience, or a demonstrated equivalency, including at least 4 years of leadership experience. Federal entity business development and client management experience are essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Department of the Interior and its Bureaus. The role demands exceptional communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills, as well as a proven track record of success in business development. A Master's degree is preferred. The Vice President will be expected to work with a high degree of autonomy, be adept at strategic prospect identification, and have the ability to negotiate and manage teaming agreements that align with the company's risk profile and financial objectives.
