Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) is a web service that provides secure, resizable compute capacity in the cloud. It is designed to make web-scale cloud computing easier and more cost effective for developers. In EC2 Capacity Customer Experience (CCX) in AWS, our mission is to ensure the right capacity is available for customers through forecasting, planning, guidance and execution, especially for large unpredictable scaling events. The EC2 CCX team is searching for a passionate, driven, and talented Senior Technical Program Manager to help make high velocity decisions under circumstances that can at times be ambiguous. This role will own the S&OE forecasting and planning for a portfolio of EC2 instances, being responsible for achieving strategic goals and KPIs that are measured and reported to executive leadership. As the business of cloud computing grows increasingly technologically complex, it also brings new opportunity to drive capital efficiency and ensure the right decisions are getting made to the delight of our customers. Additional responsibilities include driving process improvements and collaborating with engineering organizations to build new technologies that automate various aspects of EC2 capacity planning. From Day 1, Senior Technical Program Managers are given ownership and the autonomy to think strategically and make data driven decisions, along with the ability to drive significant impact to the customer experience and the business. This role requires working with professionals in many different domains including Engineering, Forecasting, Product Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Data Center Planning, along with high visibility to senior leaders at AWS. Responsibilities
Own S&OE forecasting and planning for a portfolio of EC2 instances Drive strategic goals and KPIs metrics with executive leadership visibility Improve processes and collaborate with engineering to automate aspects of EC2 capacity planning Make data-driven decisions in ambiguous, high-velocity environments Collaborate across multiple domains (Engineering, Forecasting, Product Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Data Center Planning) Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of technical product or program management experience 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience 3+ years of software development experience 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules Preferred Qualifications

The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
