Summary

Meta Wearables is looking for a Technical Art Manager to join the Product Creative team. Product Creative uses artistic and technical skills to create the vision and experiences that make Meta Wearables trend-setting, distinct, and loved by customers. The Technical Art Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating, and driving the technical art team responsible for building and supporting art and interactive experiences for Meta wearables. They will establish partnerships across multiple cross-functional teams, including product, design, marketing, and more. They will manage the creation of high-quality content, scale systems, and grow a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities

Working with the Product Creative leads, and mentor and empower technical artists to support a wide range of projects

Partner with designers, artists, product managers, engineers, and leaders to define technical art scope and pipelines

Provide hands-on technical art contributions when needed, and engage with technical artists on the technical aspects of their work

Help grow the team by sourcing, interviewing, and hiring new team members

Conceptualise, present, and execute technical solutions or content strategies within time and technical constraints

Quickly solve complex problems with cross-functional leads and drive innovative and impactful solutions

Drive progress at people and project-facing levels by building new partnerships and supporting team growth and prioritisation

Minimum Qualifications

Experience with real-time systems and game engines (e.g., Unity and/or Unreal)

Experience managing a technical team working on a product with stringent runtime performance constraints, such as complex mobile or 3D applications or games

Experience with game/real-time profiling and optimization techniques

Demonstrated experience in cross-functional communication and leading zero-to-one initiatives

Experience working with engineering teams in day-to-day operations, such as sprints, bug bashes, etc

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)

Demonstrated experience proactively identifying, scoping, and implementing innovative solutions

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working on a product team and/or technology company, for an interactive, technical art-related product

Practical experience and knowledge of low level real-time graphics pipeline concepts

Experience in shader languages (GLSL, ShaderLab, HLSL)

Compensation

Public Compensation:

$149,000/year to $205,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits Industry
