Overview Wabtec Corporation is a global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and value-added services for freight and transit rail, with additional markets in mining, marine, and industrial sectors. This Chicago location provides energy management systems to the Freight Car Market with related components and systems. Responsibilities

Lead a team of hourly employees to support the business operation. Develop, coordinate, lead and execute daily production and shipping and receiving plans. Drive daily schedule attainment to meet all internal and external customer commitments. Develop and implement a continuous improvement strategy to improve safety, service, on-time delivery and quality while reducing cycle times, costs, and in-process inventory levels. Lead improvement project initiatives with a Lean focus. Effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one year or more related experience and/or training. 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience operating forklifts and other shipping equipment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Prior warehouse or manufacturing/leadership experience and training; working knowledge of international export and domestic freight regulations; proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel); ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced environment; Oracle ERP experience desired; shipping and receiving experience desired; ability to build and lead a team through change; strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills; Six Sigma or equivalent quality training; strong organizational, oral and written communication, interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to manage contract resources. Typical Day

Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Occasionally stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, bend, or crouch. Work Environment Occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions. Heated dock and warehouse environments, with an air-conditioned office. PPE required in production areas as defined by plant policies. You may be asked to perform other duties outside of your function with adequate training provided. Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this role is between $60,700.00 and $83,400.00. The actual salary offered may be influenced by factors such as training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands, and location.
