Piedmont . JOB PURPOSE: The Director Supply Chain Operational Effectiveness reports to the Chief Supply Chain and Project Management Officer (CSPMO). This position works closely with the CSPMO on strategy development and has a strong background in both operations and technology associated with a high functioning Supply Chain program. This role works with leaders across the organization to ensure that Supply Chain systems, functions and goals are integrated with the goals of Leadership and the organization. This role is directly responsible for leading continuous improvement initiatives within safety, quality, and performance for Supply Chain Management. This position provides leadership, planning, technical direction, communication, and coaching to ensure efficient processes that meet customer needs in the most cost‑effective manner. It acts as leader and driver of all quality and safety initiatives within Sourcing, Contracting, Purchasing, Facility Operations, Distribution, Systems and Biomedical Services. It will interact and partner with Finance, Revenue Cycle, Information Systems, Project Management and Vendors as needed to meet departmental metrics and goals. The successful candidate will function well in formal and informal leadership roles, lead and participate actively in cross functional team environments, and demonstrate strong communication and accountability for both direct reports and the success of the larger organization. Responsibilities
Lead continuous improvement initiatives within safety, quality, and performance for Supply Chain Management. Provide leadership, planning, technical direction, communication, and coaching to ensure efficient processes to meet customer needs in the most cost-effective manner. Serve as the leader and driver of quality and safety initiatives within Sourcing, Contracting, Purchasing, Facility Operations, Distribution, Systems and Biomedical Services. Collaborate with Finance, Revenue Cycle, Information Systems, Project Management and Vendors to meet departmental metrics and goals. Work with organization leaders to ensure alignment of Supply Chain systems and goals with broader organizational goals. Demonstrate strong communication, presentation skills, and accountability for the larger organization. Qualifications
Minimum Education Required : Bachelor’s degree in Business/Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics, Project Management or related field; in lieu of degree, 6 years of relevant work experience. Minimum Experience Required : Seven (7) years in Supply Chain, including 3 years in leadership or project management; Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification and/or Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred. If no degree, a total of 13 years experience required. Minimum Licensure/Certification : None required by law. Additional Qualifications : Experience in a healthcare corporate supply chain or logistics environment preferred. Details
