Overview
Associate Director, Absence, Disability Management and Life Insurance - Mid-Market at WTW. Provide value-added consulting expertise on large, sophisticated Absence, Disability Management and Life (ADML) projects involving short- and long-term disability benefits, leave of absence programs, vacation/paid time-off, sick leave, life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and related programs. Sample projects include: ADML benefit plan analysis, design and cost savings strategies Vendor procurement, negotiation and optimization Audits of vendor performance (financial and operational) Paid family and company leave program development Serve as lead project manager and day-to-day contact for clients; contribute to project plan creation and lead the team on delivery; ensure progress against objectives, budgets, timelines, deliverables and quality standards Support the generation of new business by participating in prospecting opportunities with new clients as part of a broader team Build relationships internally and collaborate on cross-functional teams Review analytical work, mentor and develop Analysts and Senior Analysts Contribute to the development of new intellectual capital Contribute ADML and related perspectives to broader health and benefits projects including health management strategy Qualifications / Requirements
7+ years’ experience in the design/management of large group disability plans in a consulting or brokerage environment; alternatively, similar experience in a consultative role at a carrier or vendor Strong financial skills; prior experience in group disability underwriting or claims management preferred Proven experience creating project plans and leading teams to execute against plan guidelines Demonstrated success in managing client issues and relationships Desire and ability to expand relationships with current clients Polished and well-developed oral and written communication skills Self-starter with ability to work individually and as part of a team Flexibility and ability to identify and resolve issues Strong analytical, creative and integrative skills Experience in training/mentoring junior staff Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint Willingness to travel at least 15% (mainly day travel) Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with quantitative coursework State Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining Remote position Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range and benefits information provided in accordance with pay transparency laws; base salaries may vary by location and other factors Base salary range: $120,000-$150,000 USD per year Eligible for annual short-term incentive bonus Company Benefits
