Overview
Senior Data QA Engineer role at RxVantage. This is a US-based, fully remote engineering position within a fast-paced environment. The candidate will lead QA initiatives across product, data, and analytics domains and own QA processes for mission-critical projects including customer-facing applications, backend systems, and large-scale data workflows. The role requires hands-on experience in data validation, test automation, and modern QA practices across APIs, data pipelines, and web applications. The ideal candidate is a strong QA leader who can define and execute comprehensive test plans and help ensure data and system quality at scale. Responsibilities
Designing and owning data QA processes, including test documentation, incident tracking, and quality metrics and dashboards. Design and implement end-to-end test strategies for data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data warehouses, and reporting systems. Build automated data validation frameworks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of large-scale datasets. Create and maintain data quality checks, test plans, and monitoring solutions across structured and semi-structured data sources. Lead QA initiatives across data-focused projects, collaborating with Data Engineering, Engineering, Analytics, and Project management teams. Develop SQL- and script-based test suites to validate data transformations, business logic, and aggregation rules. Support analytics, BI, and reporting platforms by validating data integrity, lineage, and metric correctness. Proactively identify data quality issues and drive resolution through root cause analysis and stakeholder coordination. Integrate automated data tests into CI/CD workflows to enable continuous data validation and faster releases. Share QA best practices in the data domain and mentor other QA team members on data validation techniques and automation strategies. Qualifications
Technical Skills
7+ years of experience in QA 4+ years of experience as a Data QA Engineer/Data QA Analyst Strong understanding of QA processes, test design techniques, and industry standards Proficiency in scripting languages (JavaScript/Python) Experience designing, building, and scaling data QA processes Experience with QA tools like Testrail, Jira, Confluence Experience with white/grey box testing Comfortable building, supporting, and integrating with production-grade ETL/data pipelines Ability to build and maintain data quality automation frameworks using SQL, JavaScript/Python, or tools like DBT tests, Apache Airflow validations Understanding of data governance concepts and tools Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), CI/CD workflows, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) Business Skills
Ability to lead Data QA projects across both application and data-focused initiatives Strong communication with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders Experience mentoring QA analysts/engineers and contributing to QA culture Experience in fast-paced startup or scaling environments Healthcare, life sciences, or regulated data environments experience is a plus Bonus Points
Experience building or supporting admin tools and internal platforms Experience with data observability, schema governance, or data lineage tooling Exposure to ML pipelines, BI tools, or product instrumentation Familiarity with mobile development frameworks such as React Native or Capacitor Benefits
