Construction Project Manager - Custom Homes in Boston
Join to apply for the Construction Project Manager - Custom Homes role at Michael Page. Base pay range: $100,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr.
Based in Boston, this role is with a reputable, established custom home builder with 30+ years in business and a team of about 40. Projects include new construction homes, renovations and additions, across single-family, townhomes, brownstones, and condos. Most work is in downtown Boston (approximately 75%) with some in the immediate suburbs (25%). Homes up to $5M.
Responsibilities
Establish the project control plan and manage production rate, quality, cost, and expected receipts across all projects.
Establish and monitor baseline construction schedules; ensure schedules are adhered to and deadlines met.
Secure building permits, licenses and occupancy certificates.
Oversee construction via on-site Superintendent, investigate potentially serious situations, and implement corrective measures to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
Manage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company’s interests while maintaining good client and Architect relationships; review job cost reports and maintain accurate cost reporting.
Coordinate meetings with Owner's representatives, Architects/Engineers for approvals, progress, problems, and scheduling.
Assist in preparation of bid day information and issue meeting minutes promptly.
Schedule and assist in progress meetings with Trade Contractors and Construction Superintendents.
Coordinate scheduling for equipment, material, shop drawing submittals and deliveries.
Assume additional responsibilities or special projects as needed.
Profile / Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Construction Technology, or related field preferred.
3-5+ years of experience as a Project Manager, with custom residential project experience required.
Project experience in Boston is a plus.
Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple projects.
Working understanding of Procore.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
