Overview
QA Engineer, AI role at RSM US LLP. This position reports to the AI Director and focuses on project planning, reporting, test strategies, test writing and test execution for QA activities on development efforts. The role includes mentoring QA personnel and team members on testing approaches and methods, applying broad experience and risk analysis to manage testing activities and QA peers on projects. The role often handles medium to large scale projects and provides guidance on AI-specific solutions, features, and endpoints, including evaluating metrics, machine learning precision and accuracy, and developing evaluation judges for large language models. Essential Duties
Represent the QA Team on QA requests and support activities. Delegate work to the team and lead QA tasks and processes on medium, large, and complex projects to ensure high-quality AI solutions. (40% of time) Serve as the subject matter expert for support issues on Firm applications, testing strategy and execution. (20% of time) Mentor and train QA and other IT personnel on technical skills and QA methods to effectively test applications or processes. May assist with interviewing for new QA hires. (15% of time) Identify and implement effective communication to ensure project team collaboration and meet program manager, stakeholder, and senior leadership needs on technical status. (15% of time) Provide input on the use of the Quality Center tool for release management, test planning, execution, documentation, and defect tracking; advise on training or other testing tools; provide effort estimates and deadlines to leadership. (5% of time) Training, admin, and other duties as assigned. (5% of time) Minimum Qualifications
Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Information Systems or a related field. Experience
Minimum of 8 years of QA experience Minimum of 5 years of lead QA experience on moderate to large projects Experience testing a variety of applications on assorted platforms Experience with AI solution evaluation and precision metrics preferred Technical Skills
Proficient in MS Office products Subject matter expert in Quality Center or similar test planning and defect tracking tools Strong Microsoft SQL query skills SDLC knowledge Thorough understanding of QA processes and software testing types, risk assessment Knowledge of development platforms such as PeopleSoft, PowerBuilder, .NET, HTML, etc. Special Requirements
Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment with stakeholders at all levels Ability to plan testing in phases prior to full development handover General knowledge of business processes, IT networks, and programming concepts Strong attention to detail, motivation, and initiative Self-starter with ability to manage multiple tasks and re-prioritize Effective organization and time management Ability to see the big picture and align testing with business goals Confidence to uphold quality standards Leadership Skills
