Overview
Solutions Architecture Senior Technical Lead (Multifamily BTO) at Freddie Mac. The role focuses on providing leadership for Solutions Architecture for Business Applications within the Multifamily Business Unit, guiding transformation toward Agile Architecture and Modern Delivery methodologies. Responsibilities
Introduce the overall technical vision for a particular solution by defining and establishing the solution architecture Define High Level Solution Intent, target state architectures and roadmaps for portfolio products by collaborating with Business Architects, CPOs, POs, CDL and other business and IT partners to ensure alignment in visions, goals and objectives Define and create reference architectures and architecture/design patterns to ensure consistent implementation of the architecture roadmaps Own and drive development and maintenance of detailed solution intent and product architecture for responsible ARTs (information, application, technology, security and deployment viewpoints) addressing functional and non-functional requirements Plan and develop Architectural Runway in support of new business features and capabilities Identify solution alternatives and/or new technologies to meet business needs (e.g., customer experience, operational efficiency, performance, cost effectiveness) Leverage Generative AI and AI/ML capabilities within Enterprise Governance to enhance Multifamily capabilities Participate in pre-deployment, deployment and post-deployment activities to ensure successful deployment Participate in incident resolution to aid troubleshooting, impact assessments and issue resolution Build Reference Application/Implementation for reusability and accelerated adoption of architectural standards/patterns Develop/Maintain Application Design pattern catalog Your Impact
Collaborate with Business Architects, Chief Product Owner, Product Owner, Agile Coach to ensure Solution and Technical Architecture for requirements/features/initiatives Work with Enterprise Architecture and Risk & Security to ensure alignment with enterprise standards Partner with business and IT customers to drive product research, RFP/vendor interviews from a technical perspective and POCs for COTS solutions in buy decisions; communicate business cases for approvals Assist development leads with design brainstorming and reviews to align with architecture, patterns and standards Coordinate with ART members to resolve implementation issues across business/technical domains Stay current with Generative AI/ML trends and apply applicable technologies to Multifamily problems Qualifications
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience; Advanced degree preferred 10+ years in Solutions Architecture and Business Application development Experience with micro-front ends, microservices, 12-factor apps, etc. Prior software development background 5+ years of task management experience Hands-on and architectural experience with modern Cloud Native architectures; proven record of leading architects through transformations 3+ years of large-scale enterprise transformation experience in architecture Experience in Generative AI and AI/ML applicability to business problems Experience in mortgage industry desirable Knowledge of enterprise platforms commonly used in the industry preferred Keys To Success in the Role
