A leading boutique law practice in downtown Chicago is seeking a Junior Tax Associate to join its growing team. The firm advises affluent families, family offices, and privately held companies on sophisticated tax, estate, and business matters. Key Responsibilities
Research and advise on federal, state, and international tax matters Draft memoranda, opinions, and client correspondence Support tax planning for business transactions, M&A, reorganizations, and estates Review tax returns, financials, and structures to identify risks and opportunities Assist with IRS audits, notices, and tax controversy matters Collaborate with accountants, fiduciaries, and advisors on integrated planning solutions Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school; active Illinois license 3–5 years’ experience in tax law, compliance, estate planning, or controversy Strong drafting, research, and client communication skills LL.M. in Taxation, CPA, or CFP a plus Experience with family offices or private client matters preferred Seniority level
